..and the usual well designed shoebox sized room.
We decided to tick off a few tourist "musts". The first was Shibuya crossing, reportedly one of the busiest pedestrian crossings in the world. We walked it with the throngs...
..then went to the recommended viewing point, the second floor of Starbucks. It was all happening.
Next stop the Tokyo Metropolitan Building. This time the lifts were working and there was no queue. Up we went 202 metres to the 45th floor. It was hazy, but you certainly got the feeling. This is the view towards Mt Fuji....
...and this looking over "The Cocoon"
We had a walk around Shinjuku, Tokyo's greatest entertainment district, and was it lit up!
There were lots of yakatori bars in an alley near the station..
..plenty of bars and restaurants..
...some scarey creatures...
..and less celubrious spots, eg here in Golden Gai.
We went passed the Robot Restaurant, which has a loud and surreal robot floor show. Considered a must for the slightly younger...
...then returned to the station alleyways for dinner.
