A much milder! 29 deg max (feels like 32 deg) forecast. Good enough for a trip to Ravello.
We caught the local bus. Hats off to the drivers, a full size bus along the Amalfi coast and up the top through the hairpins is tough enough in a car. The view across the valley during up.
Ravello town
Initial views
The duomo
12th century bronze church doors
Around town, lots of ceramics
We paid a visit to Villa Rufolo, much added to but with origins dating back to 12th century. The moorish cloisters
Pond garden
La sala dei cavalieri
The Norman tower
On top of the tower
The gardens
The terrace
One of the rooms
Balcony view
Bussing back down
We retired to our room in the heat of the early afternoon, but then went back to the beach about 4pm
It was still quite hot, but there was good shade beside the welcoming graffitied wall at the back of the beach
For dinner we went back to the harbourfront and Lo Smerelda for pizza
Then the usual hefty limoncellos on our terrace
