Another dull wet day in Paris. Decided to head out in light showers which was ok for a while. First stop Jardin des Plantes. Not surprisingly, not many people about….
…perhaps they knew something we didn’t because soon after torrential rain!
Nothing else for it but wait til it lightened off so we could head to a cafe for coffees and people watching - even spotted Luc from Emily in Paris
Eventually it stopped enough for us to head out - found a nice church to visit for some shelter but ended up at a funeral so didn’t stay ….
….passed the Pantheon…
…and the distant Eiffel Tower shrouded in low cloud.
By the time we made it to Luxembourg Gardens the rain had eased
So it was a relatively dry walk back to Bistro des Vosgues for lunch including their well rated French onion soup and steak tartare (with aligot on the side)
Rained on and off most of the afternoon so stayed dry in our hotel. Ventured out to dinner with James Pattinson at Bonne Homme restaurant in the 10th arrondissment (no photos unfortunately)
