Late afternoon flight to Reykjavik left us with a morning for a last walk around Paris. We headed along the Seine to Notre Dame, a wedding in full swing
Still so much work to do to restore the church after all the damage
A walk back through the Marais followed by galettes and cider for lunch
A local gin hard to resist
A 50 km bus ride and a 15 min walk got us to our hotel in Reykjavik- the Fosshotel Baron
Although it was quite late Paris time we did have enough energy to visit a nearby bar for some pretty heftily priced drinks
You both must be so excited. I'm excited for you. The volcano is still erupting and there are helicopter flights over it. Hope you get to see a "bird's eye" view of it.
