With Pippa now wanting him out, walking was considered a way of helping things along, so it was off to Aligré markets in the rain in the morning...
..timing being everything for the last minute bargains, such as 10 grapefruit, or a tray of mushrooms, or a bucket of tomatoes or limes or peaches for 1 €, which made for a good haul going home.
We settled for a light lunch (not) .....such as this salade de terroir, ham, half a baked Camembert, boiled eggs, baked potatoes...
Not having a result, an afternoon walk was called for - this time over the Seine to the Jardin de Plantes...
..which also contains a number of pretty impressive buildings/museums..
...and a great carousel.
Then it was home in the late evening light...
..dining in.
