Bringing on ""Wally" - not

The objective of the last couple of days has been to try to encourage "Wally" to get on with things. One activity is gym ball bouncing

Another, long walks, which around Paris are very enjoyable, eg a visit to the patisserie, this one with a monumental chandelier...

..for cramique au sucre, a sweet Belgian brioche...

....and an evening Seine River loop to Notre Dame...

...followed by cheese and wine of course.

Today it was an outing for a French onion soup lunch..

..followed by a walk through the Petit Palace..

..posing for a photo with a (public) Mona Lisa reproduction...

..and the palace fountain...

...before coffee and macaroons in the grounds.

We came out at the Comedie Francaise..

..checking out a colourful bookshop..

..before taking a shortcut through the Louvre..

...with a free inside view (the macaroons were so good we got extra take-aways)...

...emerging in the Tuillerie Gardens.

After a short rest...

...it was home for, you guessed it, happy hour...

..then homemade sushi...

...and macaroons to finish.

Despite all these inducements, "Wally" is hanging in there!!!

  1. Lots of steps on the Fitbit. It looks perfect weather for walking...and ample justification for all the delicious snacks.
