..to Bridport...
...West Bay, where the fishing trawlers were coming in.
We the drove east towards Weymouth, passing the long Chesil Beach and Portland....
..to the start of our day walk from Osmington to Lulworth Cove
We started with an easy walk through the fields, below a prominent white horse..
..heading for lunch at the Smugglers Inn at Osmington Mills
Then to the coastal path, gentle at first
..then getting steeper
..before the white cliffs came into view
..and the ups and downs got serious with up to 500ft cliffs
Some lovely flowers along the way
and a green dart beetle
A solitary chalk stack..
..then the most famous feature Durdle Door
..and a lovely cove..
..before we approached Lulworth Cove itself.
It was then back to the car by the bus and back home. Some 16 to 19 kms done, depending on which Fitbit you believed.
