Back to Swindon

Another warm sunny day forecast for our departure from Wales. We packed the car and drove back down to Aber Mawn beach for a swim. When we arrived we had the whole beach to ourselves.

Even so, at a water temperature of 15 deg, it took some will power to get wet...

...but it felt great afterwards with all that blood rush to the capillaries.

We drove home via the Brecon Beacons...

..and were delighted to find the annual jazz festival in full swing in Brecon town when we stopped for lunch. There was live jazz playing in the pubs, in tea rooms, and on the streets.

The crowds were out...

...and there were lots of tempting street stalls - fresh Welsh Cakes..

...lovely muffins..

..and of course local beer which had to be sampled.

It was then a quick run back over the Severn River Bridge..

...and in to England - where even the Welsh are welcome, but only they can work that out!
