To Greenwich London

Today we left Swindon and headed to London. It was a sad farewell to Gill and Tony in Swindon, but hello to their daughter Jess and partner Andrew, with whom we are staying for 2 nights in Greenwich.

We trained it to Paddington Station then took the Underground to London Bridge, then a commuter ferry to Greenich.

The start of th dry trip..

...then under Tower Bridge.

Views back to the city...

A stop at Canary Wharf.

Then we were off at Greenwich, right next to the Cutty Sark.

We had a 15 minute walk to Jess and Andrews apartment, the 3rd floor corner balcony.

They have done a great job setting it up..

..and the balcony has views over the city. You can pick out Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, The Shard, and the London Eye from their balcony.

Later in the afternoon we went for a walk through Greenwich Park to the Observatory, the big crowd puller was the 0 degree meridien.

There were also excellent views over the National Maritime Museum and the city from the park.

In the evening we had this spectacular sunset over the city.
