Kumkot to Yari (3720m) - 6 1/2 hours

Today was the first of our 2 big climbs into Tibet - 900 m. We started on the road, with plenty of roadwork still in progress.

Then continued climbing..

..getting back to the snow.

A short lunch break by the road..

..then more snow slogging..

..before reaching our camp in Yari
