A sea day today with lots of special Xmas treats as we head for the Antipodes Islands.
Mid morning was a Christmas champagne cocktail with a show and a visit from Santa. The highlight was a dance routine with the junior officers and the dance group, it was a hoot ( no video unfortunately)
Ponant laid on a special Xmas buffet lunch with unlimited prawns, oysters, mussels, clams etc
And there was a special treat from the restaurant staff
Of course the dessert buffet didn’t disappoint either
While many had a nap after lunch, the keen ones held their posts ever searching for that perfect shot. Somehow we felt slightly out-gunned with just our iPhones.
And then lectures with an singalong and afternoon tea - how to resist?!?…
…and cocktails in the evening…
…followed by dinner and a Christmas quiz on name the movies from the theme songs - we didn’t do so well
