Off on another Ponant Expedition cruise to the New Zealand sub Antarctic Islands and Macquarie Island.
We flew to Dunedin to embark …
…and had a morning to explore the city. Lots of street art..
.and an excellent visit to the Otago
Museum with an amazing Māori war canoe and impressive moa bones
After an excellent brunch and coffee and a further stroll around town it was time to board
It didn’t take long to tuck into the food and wine so we were comfortably off to bed after 2 champagnes, a pre- dinner cocktail, 2 glasses of wine over dinner and a Baileys and ice. The food was hard to resist also especially the cheeses, macarons and crème boules after sushi, octopus in bernaise sauce, and fish.
We set sail about 7 pm, exiting the narrow Dunedin harbour and passing the royal albatross colony on the Otago Peninsula

Moa bones impressive indeed and street art too. You really look like Antarctica explorers
