This morning it was time to leave Tanzania. We were headed to Kenya, while our travel companions Bruce and Lorraine were of to Uganda to see the mountain gorillas.
It was an early start as our friends’ flight was at 0830, but it almost went pear shaped as we became seriously bogged crossing the lake bed en route to the airport. Luckily a seriously heavy duty truck managed to pull us out.
All good, the plane was waiting and they got away. A final photo of the team, including our wonderful driver/guide George
Our flight was a bit later so we had a last one hour drive around the area.
A “research” lion - tracker attached
Egyptian goose and goslings
Even a chameleon
Our safari plane
Flying over the Ngorogoro crater
Our stay for our first night in Nairobi - Margarita House
