Seychelles - second day

 Today we headed south on the west coast of Mahe for some snorkelling at Anse Soleil, acclaimed as the best snorkelling site on the west coast.

It was indeed a lovely beach with great drooping rainforest tree shade at the back and the snorkelling was quite good with clear water and plenty of fish. No underwater camera unfortunately so beach shots only.

We then moved on to Takamaka beach..

…for a creole buffet lunch at Chez Batista Restaurant

The heat and humidity (and an excess of food - I haven’t added a photo of the dessert tables) induced us to head home for a siesta. 

The day ended with a late afternoon swim at our local beach followed by happy hour with nibbles on our verandah. No need for dinner, everyone being still bloated from lunch.
