We got the evening ferry from Helsinki to Tallinn..
..and settled in to our apartment in the old town (the blue dot) at Rataskaevu 6
Just had time for a late evening stroll and drinks
We found a cute little cafe for breakfast after a very disturbed nights sleep with the security alarm in the apartment malfunctioning
The Tallinn breakfast including potato cakes.
A curiosity along the way to our walking tour
Some school girls doing cultural dancing in Freedom Square
Our walking tour of the old town with Liina. Old city walls
Town Hall square
Obvious overhanging animosity
Just some street scenes
Artwork in a shop window
More street scenes - a rich merchants house…
..Russian built theatre…
…a former bakery
Outside the Museum of Occupations and Freedom, a suitcase “sculpture” in remembrance of all those who had to flee
Out again in the early evening - spruikers for a Medieval restaurant and coated almond seller
Couldn’t resist an Aperol spritz in the square with the other tourists
Elk dinner at highly rated Rataskaevu 16 restaurant
