Dimeka market

We drove some 25 km out of Turmi to the Saturday market in Dimeka

Again, harsh thorny semi desert, but green after the rain

Lots of people had come into town, mostly Hamer and Banna tribes

The heavy protruding neckpiece indicates a first wife

These ladies were selling raw milk

There was a sizeable chilli section

Again, a big souvenir section for any tourists

Hair styling was underway as well, using a mixture of clay and butter.

The men relaxed and above things as usual

We returned to the lodge for a late lunch..

...a local meal for Bob, a thick shiro called tegabino and injera bread for Bob

We went for a short walk through the bush around the lodge. Acacia trees..

...desert rose trees..

...plus some unusual plants..

...and fungi.
