We then drove towards the river, finding zebra...
...and a hyena feeding off a dead buffalo..

...a lilac breasted roller...
...a marabou crane overhead...
..and a baby Impala..
...before morning tea.
There was a lot of game in the riverbed...
...including lots of big male kudu
..plus a small herd of buffalo.
It was then down to the pool..
...where we were joined by some baboons..
..who were closely watched by the alpha male.
