To Capetown

A more leisurely start to the day with a 7:30 breakfast before departing at 10:30 for the airport for our flight to Capetown.

Breakfast was the usual feast of juice, fruit, still hot glazed ham and cheese and home made chutney...

...followed by French toast, crispy bacon and caramelised banana with maple syrup.

No wonder the pounds are stacking on.

We flew on a private charter to Capetown. The weather was clear on approach as we cleared the mountains to the agricultural land..

..hit the ocean...

..and flew back in over the townships.

It was a "rock star" arrival, with our plane pulling in b side our coach...

..that whisked us off to the city, with Table mountain unfortunately obscured by clouds..

....to the One and Only Capetown.

The room itself, an island suite, was fine, though very enclosed and overlooked.

We headed down to the VIctoria and Albert wharf area...

..lots of colourful shops...

..and trendy restaurants etc

It was then back to the hotel and dinner at Nobu, another in the chain of world class master chef Nobuyuki 'Nobu' Matsuhisa

It didn't disappoint and cost about AUD 100 for 5 courses and 2 glasses of wine each.
