Another day another move. This time to Namutoni in the Far East of Etosha. We were thinking that if things didn't get better with the roads and game viewing we might leave the park.
Initially things didn't look promising, more springbok only,..
..and we even resorted to photographing ducks, although this one with a red bill was different..
..but then things started to look a bit drier, and up popped some ostrich.
We even found a spot where we could drive out onto the pan, just for the experience.
We started to see groups of animals even!
A nicely posed giraffe..
..an impressive but as yet unidentified eagle
"You think you have black eyes?, these are black eyes." - a double banded courser
It was then on to the camp for lunch
In the evening we went out again and there was more on show. Banded mongeese..
A sand grouse
Elephants
Mixed groups of zebra and wilderbeast
A strangely intense partial rainbow
A black shouldered kite
A magnificent saddle billed crane
African spoonbills
A black rhino..
