Okuakuego to Halali - Etosha

Today we moved from Okaukuejo to Halali, doing morning and evening drives

The feature of the day was water, water, water..

..still an opportunity for a reflection..

..and it didn't bother these Guinea fowl working over elephant poo.

The birds kept us interested, this an African grey hornbill

A magpie shrike

A black faced Impala

This terrapin was right at home

Wherever we went we had to deal with flooded roads

Hartebeest

A blue crane

A closer approach to the pan

Then out of the blue, this was ahead..

..for 15 minutes we were stymied..

..then some South Africans took over to clear the way - you drive up close and beep your horn and they move out of the way - they were quite pleased though when he headed off road by himself

A hoopoe

A marabou stork

This is why there is no game at the waterholes

Another road block

Halali waterhole, no-one home!!
