Next stop was Bastille market, also very active on Thursdays
We couldn't resist the ham and two cheeses gone me
Next stop was the Musée cognacq Jay, the private collection of the founder of the Semaritane store
We then walked deeper into the Marais to the Jeish area of Rue des Rosaries. There was a shop with lots of tounge in cheek Biblical prints.
We were thinking of getting a felafel sandwich, but seeing the queues..
..we opted for some Jewish delicacies instead
We then joined a Marais walking tour, covering mostly places we had been many times, but giving some new insights. The Place des Vosgues was one of the stops..
..as was the Jewish quarter
..some hidden gardens...
..an old bath house, no an upmarket clothing store..
..some of the oldest buildings in Paris, built in the 1400s
..some of the first clean drinking water fountains in Paris, which still deliver clean drinking water..
