The last couple of days

We've been continuing the food adventures, with Freddie filling the other hours. While Freddie slept..

...had an Algerian takeaway lunch purchased at Aligre. Four different breads, including stuffed kesra's and the staple semolina bread, with a veggie dish and a meat ball dish.

Freddie relaxed in the evening..

..while the grandparents hit the town with friend Maggie. We went to Le Machon d'Henri 0ff St Germaine.

First course was bone marrow with toast, one of the dishes of the trip...

..then huge mains of duck breast and lamb shank..

...in a cosy atmosphere..

..with a very friendly host..

..who gave us some free prune brandy after our meal

Today, Freddie had an outing to the Champs Élysées

Grandad went shopping at the market for rabbit!

Against all views, grandad decided we had to try a rabbit dish. The aim was a classic French dish, lapin à la moutarde. It is supposed to look like this..

..and here is grandad' effort. After the misgivings, it was deemed very good.

Freddie stuck to his milk. He's become quite the glutton, with mum generally the victim of his excesses, ie little vomits, tonight it was dad's turn! Oh well!
