It was again a lovely sunny day, though 19 degrees only forecast. The outdoors were calling so it was decided that a walk might help progress things. We did a loop of the Arsenal port...
..then it was off to Aligré market to re-stock the larder. We walk past this lovely patisserie en route..
...and had seen a bulk wine seller on previous visits so decided to give him a try. All Italian wines, we went for the 6€ Prosecco that came in a crown sealed bottle, and a Sicilian red, which we supplied the bottle and cork for, saving €1.30!! The owner asked surprisingly " don't they have places like this in Australia"
Next it was in to the market proper. The tomatoes were spectacular..
..and the flowers too tempting...
It didn't take us long to fill up Pippa's shopping trolley, especially with deals like 10 ruby grapefruit for one euro, and big punnets of strawberries, also one euro
Two more stops. One at the local coffee roasters for more beans..
..and then the patisserie for quiches, and pastries...
Wally's progression wasn't getting any more regular, so we headed off for another walk, this time back to the Jardin de Plantes
Still nothing more promising, so what were the girls to do but get back to some crocheting.
The evening became a repeat of the previous. Heavy contractions, but around 6 to 8 minutes apart. Who knows what the night will bring?
