A day in the life - Leroo La Tau

The day started with a 5:30 wake up, then breakfast at 6:00 and off for a 4 hr game drive at 6:30. Heading off on a drive involved crossing the river by boat..

..which in itself provided "game" viewing. Such as Goliath cranes..

...African jacanas..

...kudu..

...thick knees...

...crocodiles...

..pied kingfishers..

..and malachite kingfishers.

Not to overlook the waterlillies.

It was then into our safari vehicles...

..for a briefing, our guide was KB..

All manner of birds and animals and vegetation were seen on the drives and these a shown in individual blogs. But the drives also involved track identification. These leopard..

After the drive it was back for lunch..

...then after a swim and/or a lounge around, it was back for afternoon tea..

..before crossing the river again and heading out for another 4 hours, during which time there was a stop for sunset drinks..

...then a late dash back before dark..

..and drinks and dinner, with a couple of songs by the staff.
