Today we headed south to Edinburgh
First stop was Pitlochry...
..a nice old world village..
..with a lovely river and fascinating dam with a fish ladder, and salmon fishermen
....video in the fish ladder
Next stop was Dunkeld, for lunch by the Tay River..
..and a stroll around the 13th century cathedral
And village
Near Edinburgh we crossed the Firth of Forth bridge
Before arriving at our rental in the Leith district of Edinburgh
Late afternoon we walked to the Port area via the Water of Leith Path
A nesting swan..
..and a female merganser duck on the way
The port area has been undergoing gentrification, to good effect
There were plenty of pubs, so we had to visit one
We walked home via the main road into Leith, it was obvious it was an ongoing rejuvenation project
