Another move north, this time to the Glencoe area. We did the Argyll Coast Route.
First stop was the Loch Fyne Oyster Bar
Then on to Inveraray
The site of Inveraray Castle, home of the head of the Campbell clan
The Campbell High girl with the Campbell tartans
The town centre itself
Next stop was the Kilmartin historical site
The church held some ancient headstones
And more medieval headstones in the cemetery, the oldest from the 1200s
We then went on to view the burial cairns and standing stones in the Kilmartin Glen. These are dated to some 5000 years old
Next stop was Oban, the site of McCraigs Tower giving wonderful views over Oban and Mull
A stop to view the photogenic Castle Stalker
Then on to our home for the next 3 nights at Onich, just out of Glencoe
On Loch Linnhe with this view from our bedroom
And this view up Glencoe from the beach out front
