Today we moved to Gozo, the NW island in the Maltese archipelago, to our accommodation in Marsalforn on the north coast
We crossed to Gozo by ferry
Passing the back of the blue lagoon on Comino Island
Mgarr port area Gozo
We are staying in an apartment right on the seafront in the middle of the restaurant strip
It was lunchtime when we arrived. The problem was which restaurant to eat at!
After lunch it was time for a swim. It was 31 degrees
Problem was the harbour had lots of mauve stingers, the same ones as on our boat trip
We walked past the small harbour
But too many jellyfish that side, so we went the other way, past some old fishermenn’s Caverns in the rock surrounds of the harbour
We found a spot for a quick swim/snorkel
But even here there was little of underwater interest, just small fish in the Neptune grass
And the jellyfish were even in this small rock pool
We had pre dinner drinks in front of our apartment, Gozo cheese and Gozo Cabernet Sauvignon
The sea was dead calm
Then dinner at our hosts recommended restaurant, free appertiser
Fairs, local pizza, with Maltese sausage etc, pear and blue cheese salad with a local lemon infused olive oil and a Gozo rose wine
Back home for people watching and Gozo limoncello
