To Puglia

After a pre- breakfast swim and another decadent breakfast it was goodbye to Sicily...

...and off to Catania to fly to Bari in Puglia then on to a Masseria, farmstay, near Alberobello

Arriving at Casa Busciana, a working dairy

Our little Fiat Punto at the house

Our stone walled room

The view from our window, over the cow sheds and a small Trulli (more about these later)

The calf stalls and already harvested grain fields behind

For dinner we went just a kilometre up the road to a BnB Restaurant, Il Leccio. Great honest food, and barely a word of English spoken.

Prosciutto and melon plus caprese salad, also a nice Puglia rosato

Grilled salsiccia and lamb - it really must have been a baby lamb, small bones and ten pieces

The villa looking particularly lovely when we returned after dark
